Santiago Peña Palacios is the president of the Republic of Paraguay. He is a politician, economist, and former Minister of Finance. He has served on the Central Bank of Paraguay and Banco Amambay boards. He was a professor of economics at the Catholic University of Asuncion and published research papers on monetary policy and finance. He studied economics at Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and obtained a master's degree in public administration from Columbia University in New York.
